Headed out on a solo trip yesterday morning from Long beach @430 am. Game plan was to get bait from Nacho and head straight to the mackerel bank.

I worked the area for about an hour for nothing. No marks on FF no birds no life water was clean and blue at just over 70deg. Plan B was to make a run to the 209 and work the slide back towards Cat and then back to the barn.

As I was leaving the mackerel bank I spotted a small paddy with breaking bait all around it. I pulled up tossed some chum and it was game time. I got my share and left them to another private boater I waved down.

I continued to the 277 (decided not to go to the 209) worked my way up the slide and to the Avalon bank for nada. It was a nice flat day on the water and had a blast. My family thinks im nuts for going out by myself but I just cant get enough! Some of my best trips are by myself. No pressure I guess.
