Well....if there was a derby going on this weekend this fish may have had a chance.

I'll keep the details to a minimum...I've seen the backlash unleashed on the loose lipped BDers!

After watching 20+ nets come out at one of the local fav's for most of the day we dropped into a little honey hole on the way in. Picked up this beauty hen on the first pass and thought we were into a hali. She stayed deep, wind had us all f'd up and then decided to come up to continue the schooling. Feel pretty lucky to get her to the net considering all of the antics but we eventually got her to turn it in.

Ended up the day with 3 keeps, 3 wild ones that got a free pass and lost another good fish. Awesome day in the islands!

That's a freakin' pig......most of us would be more than happy with your 2 smaller fish that are still very respectable.

Bet you're glad it wasn't a hali & giving up your location is your option, but if you did give it up, just don't expect to fish that area alone ever again, cause everybody wants to catch a beauty like that one......so where was that spot again ???

Helluva a nice, big, bright fish....that's why spend thousands of Benjamins and hours....can you give us little hint of what gave them that wood shampoo???

I see all white flashers and herring smelly jelly on DR's. I have'nt used white flashers for uuhhhhh...........actualy never. My Dad had a few (one with a pink stripe down the middle).

Way to go...

Be safe and cheers....Swanny

Corey,
Dang man, when you seen me at the launch and said you got the pigs, while we sucked up the piglets, I did not know you nailed them that big!! Guess I moved down a little too far from said secret spot 45 minutes too early:Dynamite:

Nice job on sticking with it during the cruddy weather that fine day, I only seen one other boat fishing with us there, ironically a twin to mine, only with a blue stripe....

15 fish, 6 keepers in last 3 days, mostly at "the spot", bodes well for this summer!!!

Thanks for the kudos fellas! Normally I'm more of a lurker, but couldn't resist sharing a little porn! (Just gotta make sure that I don't have my white flashers or smelly jelly in the pic next time.....) Right place, right time

Fish are here and reports I'm hearing is that they are getting bigger. Good Fishing!

15 fish in 3 trips, that's pretty damn good fishing! Seems like we have been putting back quite a few more natives the last couple times out too. Springers are coming!

Stay warm, bud!
