Thanks for all the beer shout outs! Hopefully I'll be pouring beers again in Westport soon. Not for halibut season though there's no halibut out of Westport, or lings for that matter

Let me give you a little more friendly color into why folks are saying what they are...

One of my favorite trips last year was tuna fishing with @Happy Daze @Team Sency and @FishPimpII. We had exact numbers of where the fishing was happening and we didn't go there...I learned a ton, laughed a lot and caught exactly zero tuna hunting breaks, birds and bait a little closer and North of that run.

Fishing starts and stops where you want it. For me I enjoy planning, looking at charts, marking prospective areas to try and sending my line down having hope but not the certainty that I will catch a fish.If I want my fishing trip to start and stop with a fish on the line I have a trout farm at the bottom of my hill and it isn't very rewarding.

Also for lings and rockfish when I first answered you don't need numbers out of Neah i was serious. You don't. If you can fish at all you will get all you want. Westport you do need numbers or WAY more time. When you are trolling nearshore for kings at westport watch your sounder, when you see a rock and a bunch of marks mark it. That is how I have my spots there.

With all this salt water talk has me thinking and thirsty. I think it would be great to figure out when a good chunk of us are going to be in the wetspot fishing for whatever species of the season, and meet at either Blackbeards or my house in grayland. I have a big fenced yard, and bonfire pit. We can pour beer and talk dead fish. I haven't gotten to meet a lot of guys on here, but would like to. Dragonballz and Thrasher know me, but I have only talked to a few of you via chats. Maybe then you guys can give me a shit load of coords and then I'll sell on the black market! Let's make it happen this spring or summer.

I will share tuna numbers too....what year??
Even salmon numbers....but in westport, you got to earn bottomfish numbers.
But if you are fishing MA 3 or 4 and can not find bottomfish...my advice is to give up fishing!
