We went out yesterday morning and I fished most of it between 50' out to 300' basically just below the line at Ledbetter (14nm south of WP). Not much sign at all. A little in places. 61.5* out deep, 56* on the beach inside of 100'. Marked quite a few salmon on the beach. Very little offshore but we caught some Coho out there. Had 10 bites, hooked 6, landed 4. Two Coho, two short chinook. Lost a nice 15lb chinook on a jump near the boat. Zero diver fish, all Downrigger. Only fished one rigger. Sunday, June 25th... We went down there again today but started in on the beach this time, just below Ledbetter...fished better but no sign and only one bite. It was also foggy today so I couldn't see anything around me...not good for scouting an area solo. After two hours, we picked up and ran offshore to 200 fow and put them in. We still had the fog so finding any sign was basically blind luck. We trolled that for an hour out to about 250 fow, hooked and fought one decent Coho to the surface and it jumped and spit. Anyway, the salmon thing wasn't really happening today so I slid over to a hard bottom spot and we had some of the best yellowtail Rockfish fishing you could ask for. A good trip all in all. My friends out of ilwaco did pretty good today on nooks half way up the peninsula in 20-40 fow. Damn...so close.
