It is another slow year in Loreto for dorado and billfish, but yellowfin tuna are picking up the slack. Outpost Charters seems to catch a cow or super cow every couple of weeks, and there are also smaller fish swimming under schools of porpoise. I fished with my daughter Catherine and her novio Jake Freund visiting from Florida Thursday and today for a total of 29 yellowfin into the low 30s. Both days it was a matter of finding porpoise early and fish were in the boat by around 10:00 a.m.

You might be right actually. Think I count 16. Maybe the captain counts for boat limits down there

They are in Mexico and he is a resident. It’s obligatoy to have a few locals that have never been fishing and at least one mother in law on the boat in addition to your family so there were prob 7-8 people just can’t see them in the pic :)

Bill the flying tuna pic is awesome!!!

Bill is correct each day fishing would be
5 of any one type of fish
10 overall there also is a point system
That is a little confusing with 2 dorado
    Counting as 5 fish
For the 3 day limit needs to be continuous out to sea not returning to port you would have to get a dispacho
From Capt office or cona pesca to prove when you left
Go on line and get regs you can catch
    And release all you want
