guys, have you installed an aftermarket and bigger knob to the handle of the Fathom LD2?

I just got my 40LD2 and love it, but I have two reel with the Alan tani custom knobs on and they feel right and give you more meat to use your whole hand when cranking the reel, but I want to try something different this time.

so, anyone with another knob that feels right on these reels?

so, seems like everybody is happy with the stock handle.

by chande anyone knows if the handle knob is removable along with the shaft of the knob?

Check out Tiburon Reels. They may have one that fits. I put a Tib handle on my 16VSX-- works great.

I've got a Tiburon handle on the Torque 40NLD2 - great leverage (and not as heavy as the Alan Tani handle on my 12vsx).

    X2 for Tib handle.

As for the knob, the cap pops off allowing you to unscrew it. The shaft does not appear that it will come off without drilling it out.
