Im starting to make my list of parts and kits for my project truck. Big staling point though, i can not seem to find a diesel that is light enough of a prerunner style ranger (i know its a crazy idea but yah). Now my truck will not be a prerunner, but i will be using long travel coil overs up front and well diesels are heavy. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, BadKarma

I was in Australia last Spring. They all had Isuzu 4 door light pickups and other Japanese imports, ALL with small 4 cylinder type diesels, so there has to be plenty, at least on the west Pacific.

Aslo, by friend had a Jeep Rubicon, same thing, small torqy diesel motor.

These are near impossible to find here... I was drooling over them while I was in Thailand a few years ago. Saw the Isuzu version of my little Chevy Colorado with a diesel in it on every corner....

Here in the States your best bet is one of the VW TDI's... The Jeep guys with money are going with these over the Cummins 4BTs. The 4BT's are HEAVY for their size and output. The little VW's are bad ass, but spendy...

Nothing is California legal. Fuck this place! I just sent two hours the other night trying to "report" my Freightliner to the SCAQMD. Trying to get a low mileage exemption.
