I picked this up a few days ago and it feels like a 20-25# bait stick. I have a post in chit chat trying to figure out what it is since there is no label in the butt or under the cork. https://www.bdoutdoors.com/forums/threads/rod-id.764477/ After measurements and a few knowledgable folks chimed in it appears this is probably a green s glass BH89. It measures 8'8". Guy I got it from says its over 20 years old. Not the prettiest rod but all guides and wraps are solid with no rust. Been fished alot. Lots of scratches but no damage beyond the clearcoat. Just needs new handle. Cosmetic 6/10... Mech 10/10.

I'm not a Seeker guru but pretty sure this is the good stuff from days gone by. Not sure what its worth but I'll start at $250 and see where it goes. Located in San Diego. Text ok. 760-535-7013

the super seeker came into the world in 2008 so if the rod is 20 years old...do the math......the butt should be 1.050 for a bh89 SS with a 9 tip............so I'm thinking because of the butt is it possible it's an original green glass CJBF90 that has been trimmed in the tip ?...the butt is 1.070 and 8 tip original.....if your numbers are right it can't be a bh89....I had a original pinhead green S glass that spec out at 1.050
The factory pinhead came out after the SS so it also cannot be either of those if the rod is 20 years old.....maybe some prototype blank made on a friday night
Believe it or not the butt you have specs out as a cut down PS90.. Plug and Spinning..1.076 and the tip would match if it was cut
15-25 pound that would stiffen up with 5 inches cut from the tip to make it 8'7" and be a
20-30 pound rod
I bet it fishes like a Inshore 858 with cajones

anyhow alan.....I always like a good mystery and numbers don't lie

My guess is that it was trimmed at the butt thus no longer seeing the label. Not sure what 9”+ blank it started as but it sure is pretty. Someone should re-finish, re-wrap, and fish the heck out of it. Bet it tosses bait and light iron extremely well.
