Took a novice buddy out today for a short (4-hour) trip. He had some trouble and only got a couple but I helped him get a few in the box and now he's gots tacos šŸŸ
We left the slip at shoreline about 6;45 and hoping to miss the fog stayed pretty close to home. Fished from a little after 7 to about 11 for 8 Whitefish to 17" and 6 Sheeps, the largest right at 19". A couple of each species were smallish and released but the general quality was decent. Also got a just legal sandie bass that we sent back to the turds.

A little N/E wind in the morning seemed to sit down as the day went on. Water temp was mostly around 61 and at times it was a lake. Decent current from the swinging tides, just had to get the right drift. Picked at the critters with squid and shrimp till about 11 and cruised in at 23 mph on flat seas.

Looking out to Catalina at got calmer after this...but the fishing got worse.

    Proper arm stretch

Having some fun putting some meat in the freezer before Jan 1.
