Planning on heading down to LJ and I am not too familiar with the area. Any tips on where I should be going to make some live squid?

Look for the boats with the brite lights, off the point. That should give you a good starting point. Good luck I should be out also. Kayak fishing that is.
    Peace Out

We'll be out on the water around 3:30 am trying to make squid. Give me a call on channel 10 and I'll let you know if we found them.

If you have a color FF, look for horizontal green lines above the bottom in 80-125' on the ledge just SW of the canyon; these are suspended squid which will rise in the water column with a little light shining over the side. use either the small squid jigs or net them

That there was some very good, very gracious advice. I think most of us San Diego guys are kind of rookie on the squid thing. Thanks you guys. Mark
