Line capacity is 300yds/50#. You maybe able to get the same amount of 65 if you choose one of the thinner braids. Check the diameters of the various power-pop, max cuatro and others. See if there are any in 65 with diameter close to 50

Some 2 cents that may help; I also have 500N’s and I’ve done research to maximize line capacity for 65lb. I went with Daiwa J-Braid x4 65lb. It’s 0.36mm and economically priced. Only problem is line bleed for the first couple uses.

Other 65lb braids are 0.40mm or larger (JB, Regular Power Pro, Spiderwire Stealth, Sufix 832, China braids, etc.) except Max Cuatro (also 0.36mm).

Prospec is a good one at 0.38mm!

Thanks! Didn’t look into that one.

For slow pitch my 500Ns are spooled with 30lb 8 strand Daiwa J-Braid, and I get between 500-530 yards on it, depending on who spools it. It gives great versatility to the reel because you can fish shallow (because the reel is so light), to very deep (because the capacity is so good).
