We were using 200g flat falls in glow color. sliders were 2 ounce, but later added 2 sliders to get to the bottom. they were literally eating like white sea bass nibbles on the bottom.

Awesome haul, but seems like a ton of very hot meat laid up on the deck without ice or rsw. How do you cool them down and keep them cool?

we have a fish hold and the largest kill bag. Fish were pulled out for fish cleaning. After caught, they are bled then put into the iced fish hold.

and last ones were caught around midnight and we were back in long beach by 430 am ish….so didnt stay in the hold for long either

Billy, nice job man. Was gonna make that same run 4hrs later than you but opted to pass with weather coming. I seriously want to be your friend! :D

When you guys use the heavier sliders, do run a swivel Carolina rig style or just let them slide down to the hook?

We just let them slide down to the hook or we tie a rubber band as a stoppwr
