heading for Ilwaco yesterday to pick up IQF,s and saw this Grady sitting along side the hwy30 between Clatskanie and Westport OR for sale. Just a little elbow grease and that should buff out, right??

I guess that it came unhooked from the tow rig and no one was hurt

Ouch, can't imagine the stress of seeing that happen in my rear view, especially since it looks like she rolled. Glad no one is hurt.

(I will now patiently wait for Defiance owners to start a thread about how Gradys weren't designed well and have a tendency to jump off the trailer :Beat_Them )

More evidence of climate change. The ocean around it has dried up so quickly the skipper didn't have a chance to get it to deeper water!

Seriously though, glad to hear no one was hurt.

I had seen a picture of that earlier. It would be interesting to understand what happened, as it seems unlikely that the front clip and rear straps all failed at the same time. And then they just left the boat?

Or maybe he was just running toward those Safeway "tuna cords"?

Agreed Steve...that made my heart sink!

Another thought that I am quilty of....We met last week at 2:45am and got back at 12:15am...I was monster energy drinked up, but I still needed buddies up talking with me to keep me fully awake. This sure seems like a possible falling asleep at the wheel. We run ourselves to the edge of rest and is not the safest practice that is for sure.

I pulled a all nighter and all day tuna trip....never agian, I dosed off and tagged a guard rail and watched the boat come up a good 18" off the trailer on 1 side, broke the tie down, trailer still wears the scar. Never agian!!

On the other hand, grady hull should be okay, fix the top and move on...
