Been about 5 years since I've been to the Islands but have long time fishing history there back to the late 60's...Maui and Kona...One thing that was said earlier was that the Hawaiian captains are really careful about bashing one another...been tradition for a long time....the "wanna be's" and promoters that are part timers there bash and rebash anyone they can...Shame it's all come to things like this. Even in the days of the shared charters from the old Kona Activities center...it was all about the "industry" there and not taking cheap shots at others to try and make something look better...Must be lots of business right now for anyone to have the time to sit an post over and over on the net.

If this guy is really messing in the Kona market I know a couple of long time Kona skippers that would take a public bashing very seriously and might not be too friendly about their reactions. I'm not sure but maybe "Captain Charlie" is just another Haole wanting to be in the Hawaii fishing industry. Think I'll forward some of this stuff to them as a little heads up.

I remember meeting this guy on the docks here in San Diego around four years ago. He went by the bajachas then. Gave me the impression then he wanted to be a big shot.

Too bad for any bad rap Finest Kind may get out of this. Finest Kind is a good charter boat with a solid reputation.
