I've heard the term Kingfish used in the past. The NZ YT variety are tankers.I dont think the fish in the original picture is a yellowtail, maybe but kinda looks like a close relative.

- The California yellowtail, Seriola lalandi dorsalis
- The southern yellowtail, or in New Zealand and Australia the yellowtail kingfish or kingfish S. l. lalandi
