Headed out with a buddy around 10 AM for a short session targeting bass on the 5 weight fly rods. Bay was glass and relatively empty of traffic so we fished Island Freeman for a slow pick on small calico. As we were getting ready to head out i was stripping a big red jighead streamer when it dead stopped, felt like I stripped straight into a rock because there were no taps or head shakes. I pulled the slack out and felt it give a little, lifted a hook set and WHAM! Fucker realized he was hooked and gave me a nice 5 minute fight on 6 lb tippet. My intermediate line was mangled from rubbing on the rocks but my roommate damn near dove in the water to land it haha. Good times were had and it made up for his lack of catching.

That dog on a leash feel when they eat it is pretty cool.

For what it's worth ya look enough like Barnhill to get free shit at Fred Hall.
