Here are some of my latest projects and thankfully the first one is ready for my up coming Baja trip. I have the feeling some fish are going to get the short end of a long stick. It is a Batson Rainshadow RCLB80L composite rod and I used the XTCXNZG guides Bill suggested. I did the handle ala west coast style with a Doc Ski twist and a Throop swoop. Anyway this rod is going to be one of those I can do bunches with type rod. Maybe heavy bait, maybe small heavy iron ie Tady 9s, BAs, Maybe Tady Cs or 45Ls, Heck I cant make up my mind but will report further after up comming trip. This puppy is SWEEEEET.

The second project is a littl UL Lami with a tiger that is so vague it is almost mysterious. Impossible to get a good picture but in person is really neat. Really happy with the weave in the split grip area.

Last is just another Tiger wrap on the end of a sweet little gaff. Blue and yellow under and black open over but 5 coats of finish between. When I move it the thing really makes changes.

Pretty stoked about them. Picked up a couple others to work on soon. Enjoying having the time to try new stuff now. The ones I have sure are straight blanks and I really appreciate that.

Doc - I know you will enjoy the perforamce of that Rainshadow (RCLB80L), and those ALPS (SS316) guides are a perfect match. Those blanks and guides were desinged for the So. Cal market in mind. I also used that same rod set up while I was in Mexico (R&D) last year and it performed flawlessly.
Thank you for the support. Please send pics for the new website.

    Bill,
I've built a bunch of Rainshadow's and use a few myself. Getting ready to start another as we speak. You make a great product and your prices are very good (IMO). Randy.
