Well, I was hoping to get some more pics from my buddy, and some video he took, but its been a few weeks, so I figured better a late report than no report. Will add if he sends me more stuff...

Made it out two or three times, bottom fished of course with it being the $ea$on :), trolled onos, caught ahis, mahi, bottomfish, a malolo ( :) ), lost a sailfish, lost a bunch of ahi to sharks, got one 3/4 ahi :) that ended up being #1 sash!, main thing, we had a good time. Its been so long that I vaguley remember the details :drunk , so heres some pics...

Nice pictures. Seems like most of the fish you catch are heavy bleeders.

Hahaha, not when we cut em!!! I have a (good) bad habit of bleeding everything I catch right away... Just wish I could get some better pics and video... Bumbye...

    Jason,
Glad you made it out a few times while you were home; good mixed bag of fish. When were you home?

Hahaha, yeah, kinda left that part huh... I got home Christmas Eve, and got back to LA Jan 10th, so it was a nice trip, was super busy with family, a new business, etc. Made it out the week after christmas, and again the week after New Years (I think thats the trip most of the pics are from)...

Yeah, the first Kahala was 78 or something, and the one in the fish box went 112lb, 115 something like that... Both caught DEEP... We also ended up with 10 other kahalas between the two trips, mostly 10-60lb kine, would be nice to release them, but from so deep, its hard to convince my friends to use a fish elevator, or reverse hook thingie... I did try to vent some and then throw em in the iki mau, but they were done, so I just threw em in the ice box...

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention how fierce the sharks were... Lost several ahi, deep and on the troll, and even lost a big ono to the manu on the troll, got the lure back, but that was a first for me... To much people with too much palu imo...
