So, weapon of choice.
we are kind of old school. my boys are shooting all family hand down rifles.
1906 Springfield 30-06 - Peep Sights
30/30 basic model
and a bad ass Remington 300 SAUM.
the Remington was used by my father for Idaho elk/deer hunts before his passing 4 years ago. though it’s way overkill, it has the range and optics for my boys to feel good about shooting up to 450 yards. So, that’s what they shot! all kills have been inside 250 but all kills have been one and done, so i’m proud.
we’ve taken down 3 dogs out there in the month of March. first true time of us hunting them. all Electric Call, no decoys.
it’s going to be our new offseason hunting of choice.
