Drove down from Oregon with a couple friends to fish with the In To The Depths crew. Nice guys, nice boats, really know the big bft game. We wanted to learn the kite/balloon flyer fishing so we could do it on our own later in the season. Headed out around 9 grabbed some bait and fuel then ran out to an are near the 226. Lots of company, both private and sport boats, spread out over a large area. The weather was overcast mid 60s with a nice kite friendly breeze. Leo started looking for fish, and we got some nice marks in short order. We sent a flyer out and within 5 minutes we were hooked up. 20-30 minutes later the first fish hit the deck. We would repeat the process 4 more time over the next 5 hours. It was truly a remarkable day. Final tally 6 bites, 5 hooked, 5 landed. Cleaned weights 150-175. I learned a lot and hope to test it in a month. The kite really works.
