Lake O'neil Camp Pendleton

I took my 9 foot livingston out on lake oneil which is just a half mile from my work and hooked up with this pig. I caught one other bass today but that was it. Who cares though right? This was one of my best bass to date. I would say that there aren't a lot of fish on that lake but there are some nice ones.

I haven't thrown a hook in Lake O'neil since my days in the Corps back in the 80s. I had heard about people catching big bass, but never took the place seriously. That's probably the same bass I caught twenty-some years ago.

I haven't done it but I have a friend who tosses those bluegill and crappie with a bobber and hammers 10+lbers on the regular. I told him it was illegal but he's convinced that its a broken law.
