Whats up fellas. Im only going to post a short report as there are too many days to type up. Fished Berryessa 11 days in the past 3 weeks. The first day Andrew(jock) and I took my skiff up for the first time. Didnt know what to expect but go on a decent afternoon bite all on DeepNLils and ended the day with a Berryessa trifecta (largie, smallie, and spot). Fished most of the days solo and a couple with Travis (Ttompkins). Everyday up there has resulted in fish with most of them being spots and smallies. Not until last week did the largies start moving up to bed but as soon as they came up in two days they were back down as a freak snow/hail storm came through on last thursday. That was no fun running back at 30knts for 20 minutes in the hail to get away from the lightening (not cool when you have nine 7'6''+ rods sticking straight up above you. Anyways Throughout the 11 days I caught my PB Spot that went 4.2 and PB smallie that went 3.6pnds. Had a bigger smallie on the silent suducer but it was snagged by the back hook in the side of the face and came off boatside....the thing had to be at least 5lbs. O ya I also caught a 1.5 crappie in a DD14 WEIRD. As for whats working: 95% of the fish have been caught on DeepNLil, DD14&22s, 3 fish on a triple bladed bladerunner spinnerbait, 2 jerkbait, and a couple on the dropshot, along with 2 missed fish on the 8'' foiled punker (lots of followers), and 1 lost on the seducer. The cranks caught about 40 fish. The two colors that kicked out were the laker colored and chart. w/black black. The weather has been crazy and have been fishing in 85degree air with no wind or super cold (like 25 degree mornings) and windy. Water temp has been 55-60.Going back up tomorrow one last time before schools out than its off to Vietnam for 3weeks with school and back home down south in June. Cant wait to fish the Long Beach SWBA tourney, bummed im missing most of this season. Havent hit the Delta in 3 weeks because the water is still super muddy and cold from the heavy rain a month ago and is still slow. I will get back to reporting after each trip once finals are done, you might see one manana. Enjoy the pics! O ya the skeleton is a deer and was being eaten by 7 turkey vultures.
