    Aloha and welcome to fishing in Lahaina Harbor, Maui. As we make our way through June we hope to bring you some of our most memorable highlights. Whether you travel with us in person or share in the experiences of our anglers we thank you for being a part of Maui and Start Me Up Sportfishing.

    Randy Hendrix, Chris and Russ Arnold, Zack and Chris Martin and Alexander Krayo with a nice catch of tuna some in the 20 pound range.

    Jacob and Eric Elias with twin Mahis caught on a 4 hour shared charter.

    They hit the trifecta, Ono, Mahi and a Tag and Release 150 pound Blue Marlin. Dave Wells, Mark Aitken and Ralph Conklin had an exceptional day on the water “Catching”.

    This is a graduation gift Tyler Buntrock won’t soon forget. A trip to Maui and a 4 hour fishing charter where he angled his first ono.

    This 40 pound ono was quite the attention grabber. He put up quite the fight and was finally reeled in by angler Aaron Fulton.

    This young angler, 4 year old Chase Bogle is proudly displaying his very first catch an Aku also known as a skip jack. This is a trip he and his father Joe will never forget.

    The Halberts, Rich, Chris and Mike had a great father and sons charter and a successful one at that with this 24 pound ono.

    Leon Powell and Curt and Coby Cress won’t soon forget their early morning charter with a catch of small tunas and a massive 118 pound tuna. They had quite the fishing story to go home with.

    Our Start Me Up Family starts with a very young crew. With baby Nico getting acclimated to his fishing environment he is sure to be a top notch fisherman by age two. Watch out dad looks like you are going to have some competition out there.

    Rob Landtisser with his friends the Haffeys picked up this nice ono on a 6 hour shared trip.

    Sometimes sheer enthusiasm wills a fish aboard. The Kelly charter had plenty of that and it paid off with this beautiful ono.

    On a family 6 hour charter Lauren Byrne showed her family just how to go fishing, by catching this nice size mahi.

    Matt McQuistan reeled this ono in on an early morning shared trip.

    Christine Salopek, Jesse Rawlins, Mike Kim and Christine Choi got into the onos on their shared charter. They brought in these three onos all weighing in at over 20 pounds each.

    The Pearces family charter was a success. This 30 and 19 pound ono tested their angling abilities and they rose to the challenge.
    We have reached the middle of June and as you can see our anglers have been very successful. There is still more to come and plenty of fish in the sea. We hope that all your fishing adventures bring you tight lines and fair seas.
