Launched around 6:30 this morning. Picked up a half scoop of sardines. The sign is up and prices are going up for bait starting October. Water temp inside Mission Bay started out around 66 or so. It was off color and stayed that way out towards LJ. Big areas that looked like a red tide and most areas were green. My buddy lost what was likely our only yellowtail. Caught 1 Bonito and then Calicos. Didn’t like the conditions. Hopefully the water cleans up. Calicos were all caught in shallow water and live bait.

The dolphin went on a full day today I don’t think they were fishing LJ
They were. I know exactly where they ended up. My ego really needs to know if they caught those yellows before they rolled up or earlier. I feel the need for a massive Mai Tai. Damn it.

I know that feeling. I saw that blob of red water just outside of WindnSea with a sporty and a small fleet just on the North side of the MPA. I was wondering what was going on over there so thanks for the report.🤙.

Saw 15 or so boats on Friday fishing the horn, was wondering how the 3 or so boats in shallow on the kelp beds did. Water was clear blue and nice. Don’t beat yourself up just keep going out.
