I went with Bajabum down to La Bocana on fri 9/2/05.We met up with Aguachico in Guerro Negro.Made it to La Bocana at around 3:00 pm sat afternoon-due to hunting around in two different towns to find a new spare tire to replace on that blew out on us around midnight.
First day of fishing for us resulted in Dave (bajabum)and myself each catching our first ever black seabass's.Go to the gallery to view a few pics.
Other than those monsters we caught as many small yellows as you could want (most released) a handfull of dodos-yellowfin and tons of misc fish-grouper,bonito,sandbass,skipjack,calicos,cuda ect.
The wind did come up most days around noon but all in all a great trip.
FYI-this will be the only BSB that I will ever take-if you do not agree with us taking these fish then you have no idea about the area we fished and what goes on down there on a daily basis. So if you have nothing positive to say then dont say anything at all.
By the way thankyou ALI for the BD swag, juanchi and juaquin really appreciated it.And thankyou dave for the awesome trip. JIM

Thanks for using Rocksalt and Bleech!

My wounds can easily be healed by about 20#s of fillets.

When can I come pick them up?

I do believe Dave is going down there in oct-nov but I am not sure if Ill be able to make it again this year, but I sure would like to.By the way anyone going below Guerro Negro do not buy fuel in GN,unless they have magna(92 octane) they screwed us over by selling us reg (87 octane) and said no one had any magna-F'ing liars just a little south of GN is Viscaino-magna for the same price as the 150 gallons or reg we purchased in GN- just FYI
