That's a spinning rod, not a fly rod.

Someone suggested that it could be both,hence the weird line rating 4-8/5wt
It definitely has more of a fly rod action

Its definitely a spinning rod. My aunt used to work for Kunnan, and she acquired at least a few hundred rods while she worked for them, and I have also fished with Kunnan rods for about 35 years. Fly rods have the reel seat at the bottom of the rod, the guides are much closer to the rod, and the guides are not plastic, especially the tip. The blanks are the same, just different components.

Yeah..i have a shakespeare spin/fly rod like that i picked up. The reel seat comes apart and turns from a fly-rod handle into a spinning handle and vice versa. Cool rod.
