Does anyone know of anyone doing any Kayak fishing in Costa Rica? Boat rentals, mother ship trips? Thanks

I believe the Osa Yacht Club offers this, but I have no experience with them. Costa Rica Wild Fishing is another option. Again, I cannot make a direct recommendation. These are the only two I have heard about.

There are several companies in the Osa Pen. area that offer it. The fishing for roosters and alike near Puerto Jimenez is very accessable by kayak. I have done it several times. If you book at Parrot Bay. They off er a compl. kayak with the room. we do offer it with our charters but you have to supply the kayak, which isn't easy to get one in CR with out renting.

    eric,

puerto jimenez is a great place to fish from, but maybe not the best from a kayak as all you have are beaches and a small mangrove river nearby. you may want to look for something with more rock and islands along the coast to give you something to fish near. they rent kayaks on the beach at manuel antonio and you have tons of great structure right there. down south, golfito would probably be a better choice than jimenez.

    good luck.

I would say rent a kayak at Manuel Antonio. You can paddle out to where the charter boats fish roosters...
