Anything store bought you will get what you pay for. If it doesn't cost much, it won't last long. I have seen some made from 1/2" galvanized pipe. The axle is 1/2" all thread slipped inside the galvanized with wheels from Harbor Freight and fun noodle padding. I am sure that after a couple of years they will start to rust, but after assembly they are literally bullet proof. Total cost is under $40.

Save your pennies and buy a set of wheelez. The big ones! Especially if you are going to go across soft sand.

I've had a lot of different wheels over the years. My current Wheelez (big tires) are hands down the best. Best yak investment I've made in years. They practically glide over sand.
