My nephew is visiting from Kentucky and wanted to see what fishing Hawaii style is about. We heard there were some fish around so what better way to let him see some action, than to hook up with the crew of the Kimi Ann. We left at the usual hour to find some pretty choppy conditions but you know how that goes, sometimes da fish is a little closer in lahdat. Sure is nice to ride a Kami when it's a little on da rough side. We found some open schools right off the bat and started baiting em. My nephew was doing alright for a first timer and was able to get a couple to stick. Scuba was the hot hand for the day and he loaded some nice ones on board. I think we got somewhere around 200#. Not the usual yield for the Kimi Ann but ahhhh plenty good enough. We had a great time out there and my nephew was especially stoked to be able to see how we really get down in Hawaii.
