Here is an example of a lithium battery dunked in water. While i love lithium batteries for all of my daily electronics and tools these should be kept far, far away from boats. the fact that people are experimenting and putting them in place of AGM sealed batteries makes me cringe, its only a matter of time a BMS fails and lights a boat on fire while on the dock charging. I can only imagine what would happen when 2,000lbs of run away lithium sinks into salt water.
