Today is a good start to day two. Erin is starting to eat, not much but it’s a start. And our goal is to walk the halls after lunch:-). Her sense of humor is starting to come out again and lots of color and life coming back. Pretty Rad.

Really enjoyable for me to see all the students come thru.

    Rockin’ Recovery :git:

We just cruised the halls in her extra tall walker, before our lunchtime goal! She must want to get home!

You are both blessed to be near this facility. They are the absolute best at what they do. My wife spent a week there about 9 years ago. I'm glad to hear her procedure went well and your wife is recovering nicely. Congrats and good Luck Benjamin.

Yesterday has been Awesome!! We moved out of ICU to a new room. Well a new location anyway. Today I hope to bring her home! Our goal was Thursday! But Erin wants to come home to her kiddos and mind over matter. She is a healing machine. I’m so proud of her and can’t wait to bring her home. Last night I slept the best knowing she was finally comfortable, all drain tubes and wires are out and she is back to life. Nothing feels better than knowing your wife doesn’t hurt anymore. I’ll keep you all posted with today progress!

Just a little humor about achieving goals to be released from the hospital after surgery. My wife has had a couple of major surgeries over the past couple years. One a Whipple surgery to remove a neuroendrocrine cancerous turmor from the head of her pancreas which was around 6.5 hours, talk about waiting. The next about 5 or 6 months later to remove the same type of tumor from her liver. Last scan has her cancer free for a year now so yahoo. Anyway with each surgery one of the main goals for her to get discharged was to.....pass gas. We've laughed and thought it funny that you have to be able to fart to get out. Not sure if it's the same for your wife's type of surgery but......let-er-rip

Awesome to hear that she spiked it like a D1 Volleyball player! If you need anything at all don’t hesitate to holler!
Bet those kiddos are anxious for her return to the home front.

HOLY MOLY, lots of work, two kids and my wife. Came home early, just haven’t had a moment to pop on here and let you all know. Been home since monday and was not suppose to be home till today, and we were hoping for yesterday, so TWO days early. They have her on the “fast track” healing plan because Erin is responding so well to her REPAIR!!! Lots to do still, but it does feel good to be over the hurdle, and Rolling down hill. Being Mr. MOM ain’t easy, never a minute to sit and right when you sit you remember that there was in fact something to do. I may be helping out Erinjust a wee bit more once she is back in this role. Its actually enjoyable, and the kids seem to have fun teaching me what I’m doing wrong. Erin always asks me to bring the laundry down. I used to be like okay if I remember, now I certainly will make the effort to bring everyone’s, and maybe even push start on the load once in a while. Erin rocks, and she needs to heal up cause its the small things that drive me crazy, like turning inside out 40 pairs of kids socks in 4 days, how the fuck do they use so many socks? And stuffed animals, why are there so many? Did I buy all this shit, where did it all come from? Holy shit that window is dirty (neverhome in sun to see it)! Damn it another shoe out of place. Oh I was looking for that. These are just a few things that run through my head lately,
