    Call it a luxury tax or anything else they want but its due 6-8-2017.
    I pay mine online and if you use your bank information and not a debit card its free.

    If you never received a notice of assessment then you most likely dont owe them $ because they dont know you own something they can tax!

    Just curious Rich ... How?
    I paid cash for mine. Bought it in 2006. Not really much of a paper trail. I always thought it was thru the DMV sending it to the assessor.

    Yes what a deal...I get to pay them every year...... But may sell my boat this coming year.... so maybe someone yes will get the honor to pay it....LOL :)

    He is rebuilding the car right now, he did have the motor freshened up a few months back

    THIS is all i have to say you pay when you buy and now every yr . calif can go f...k themselves money sucking bleeding the people who live here to death fn leeches ,And still the roads tear the shit out of our trailers and front ends of our trucks its bullshit . IF they work on any road it will be fucked up for yrs . B

    technical detail:
    whoever owns the boat on January 1st owes the tax for the entire year.
    selling it on January 2nd does not remove your tax liability. neither does repo. the tax collector will put a tax lien on whoever owns it on January 1st.

    Were not talking sales tax at purchase. This a tax that comes from the county assessor office each year as a unsecured property tax
