Sorry this is not a report of pictures or good catches. Took the Glas-Ply out to Johns River today before the meeting. It was my first time there so I was figuring it out as I went. I saw some monster kings caught and released but the keeper Cohos were small and not worth the trip. Give it a week or two and try again just trying to save you guys some gas! However it was a beautiful day and fun to cruise the harbor and talk with everyone.

Not every report has to be a catching one! A few more rains things might change :) im going back next weekend so stand-by until then Gig Harbor here we come.

That has been the story. 9 trips=7 keeper Coho and 26 Kings to 30# released. Vacation week after next, hopefully the hooknoses are there by then and not already to Monte and beyond.

I saw lots of boats in Aberdeen maybe they are following a school but I don't know where to launch there. I'll be back in a week to support the local economy with my fuel and bait purchases lol

Were you looking for these? 2 coho retained, 1 "wild" chinook released and a few bites here and there.

Yes Zulu you ass lol. From a fellow Tacoman I would have appreciated some assistance. I was the little red and white Glas-Ply that looked lost all day

Dink coho that are barely worth going after? Sounds like the 2015 Puget sound fishery. At least you only burned 2gallos of gas.

I don't know much about the history of the Johns R fishery there. Seems like the chinook run is healthy, who is behind keeping it closed for sporties?
