Probably not a very popular subject here but does anyone have some information on this? I found a website from New Zealand but would
like to get more information locally. Does anyone have information or
pictures of how they have set up their ride? Would also like to find out
different ways of setting up a bait tank on one. Is their a local website?
    Information would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jimmy

They do it here too. My friend said a ski past him off shore and the guy was diving on a paddy with a spear gun (solo)(crazy). He had other gear like rods and holders too. I couldn't say about the tank set up. If I had to guess, I would just do an external pickup on the transom and just get the smallest plastic bait tank you could find. Even a 5 gallon bucket would probably work. Oh yeah, life vest, attached lanyard and radio is a must. Maybe an EPIRB too.

Dove a paddy with a guy 15 miles off the beach. He was solo, crazy sob iffin you ask me. But he had a rescue sled he towed behind him that he had all of his gear secured to.

I have a Honda Aquatrax 1200cc that I have put pole holders on. I am outfitting the PFC {personal fishing catcher} with a rescue sled that is made for fishing from High Surf Accesories in Hawaii. I am looking for folks to go with to get the season going. I am getting a bolt for the rear seat post extended one inch so I can get a third pole holder centered. Anybody interested pm me.

It's real big in Hawaii, both trolling and tossing baits.

I would think setups are probably similiar to my kayak fishing setup. GPS, FF, Bait tank, batteries, compass, safety gear, VHF, PFD, etc. I would like to see different setups options because their is not alot of information.

Hey Marc do you have any pictures of your set-up on your Jetski? Is there a preference as far as model which works better? I had a recommendation that the Seadoo GTR is a good option. Any thoughts?
I know there was a Jetski fishing tournament last week at Dana Point. Any pictures? Thanks for your replies.

    Thanks Mo,
Good links to some pretty good information.

Does anyone have contact information for Nelz Velocido who is located out of San Diego? He is a very seasoned person in San Diego along with David P. When closures hit Southern California something tells me there will be a bunch of kayak fisherman that will begin to look at this type of fishing as an option.

    Thanks,
    Jimmy

I took a friend out today Chris (CalicoBlast) to do some fishing on the waverunners today. Caught some Calicos, Sandies and a Sculpin. Nothing big but wasfun to get out on the water.

    Weather was flat today.

Launched out of Cabrillo rode to Newport and back then fished past Pt Fermin. Flat calm today.

As for set ups. Ram rod holders are the best for use on a waverunner. Half of myback seat comes off so its basically a built in cooler and with a airator you can keep live bait onboard.

I mainly fish from jetski nowadays (a transient from yakfishing). riggin' up is very easy just like yakkers do with their livewell tanks. Mine is fully rigged with livewell, GPS and FF. A few of us skifishers (ready4yellow included) will be fishing Cat Island starting April.
