Kman & I fishing Izors and vicinity from 7a-1p. It was VERY foggy until about 11, visibility was a few hundred yards much of the time. We slowly left Freedom Boat Club Huntington and headed out to Izors. No radar, but AIS gave some confidence, at least for the ships. Water was 61-62. Little current and light wind until the westerly picked up around 11.

We caught yet another mantis shrimp early on. Kman posted details. We fished hard, drifting over many spots. Ended up with 21 bass, most of them big sandies to 5.5 lbs. I think we caught 3 or 4 calicos in the mix. The only other bycatch was a snagged perch. All were caught on Kman plastics, all released.

There were several doubles on the double trouble rigs. A team of two big sand bass pulls hard!

It was a good day on the water. Thanks Kman!

Here is the business end of one of those Mantis Shrimp I caught and ate. It tasted OK. I wont eat another one. Not worth the effort
