Was just curious. Several years ago I met him on the Royal Star and he's a great guy. Gave me a book to bring home to my son. Taught me a little about cooking yellowtail. Dude could cook fish like nobody's business. Is he still in the fleet?...
I think the OP is asking about Jeff Grant. He cooked on the Intrepid for a while after the Royal Star, but hasn't been on that boat for a few years. Don't know where he is now.
I miss Jeffrey Grant too after eating his wonderful creations on the Star. If you haven’t seen anyone making faceted carrots or seahorses out of watermelon - you haven’t seen greatness. Another joy was eating meals where both Jeff and Drew Rivera were in the galley. I hated that they did not get along, but they can cook and make it beautiful.
If anybody can give me a line to him I'd appreciate it. I'll never forget his kindness, nor his ability to make yellowtail melt in our mouths like butter...
I've eaten a lot of great food all over the world, but THE best meal of my life was a pork loin with a mushroom sauce that Jeff served on the Intrepid.
