This is an introduction of sorts. Not a full introduction, because although I’m new here, I’ve already met many of you on other boards long ago and far away, or even better, at a rail or galley.

For those I haven’t met before, I’ve been fishing almost 20 years, pretty much all saltwater. I’ve done trips from ½ day to 15 day (ok, just once, but I did do it!). I’ve caught a couple of good fish, a handful with some degree of bragging rights, but mostly just standard issue. I’ve been able to learn from a lot of good and knowledgeable people and am willing to try new things...occasionally.

Other than fishing, I like gardening, reading, anything having to do with food, and exercise regularly but don’t look like it. I can also be a bit of a smart-ass.

:imdumb::imdumb:Welcome Brad! I'm not much of a gardener, but more of a fish farmer... Food is great, and I like it multiple times a day! I read on the forum a lot, so we have some in common. Sarcasm and thick skin will do you well here. Welcome to Bloody MF'n Decks!

Hey Brad, good to see you here! You ever get to use that float tube, or is it taking up space in your garage?

Welcome to the asylum, Brad. Plenty of room available...

Being a bit of a smart-ass will do well on BD!

Thanks guys.

Johnny, the float tube has not simply been sitting in the garage rafters...I deflated it first, LOL. But it may finally see some action this summer. My son is going to Mammoth for a week with his high school cross country team to train at higher altitude, and there's been talk of some fishing excursions.

So Brad, you switching sides or just expanding your horizons? Plenty to read on BD's, discussions can get heated at times, but largely plenty of good info and lots of sharing. You left out your most memorable detail, but your secret is safe with me.

Expanding. I've been lurking for a month or so, and while there's still chest thumping and flames thrown here, its nowhere like the early days of BD when I briefly joined but quit and remained at AC (current BD reminds me a bit of the early wild west days of AC).

Wait a minute... Is this Brad who likes the Walnuts on top of the carrot cake? Or was it Pecans?
I like 'em both, hell I swing three ways and have been known to indulge in hazelnuts too! And don't get me started on almonds, cashews or pignolas. :ele:

I have no idea what a dancing pink elephant is supposed to represent, but it looks like fun, so what the heck.
