i can't wait to see some new pictures! thanks for the update.
Does it have a windlass?
This first boat does not. We are in the process of building a liner for the anchor compartment that will house a windlass.
If you change your plan to show the boat at the Newport show, please let me know. That is the only reason I will be attending. Thanks, Rick
Anticipating a BIG update!
Here's a little teaser pic for you guys... All the protective paper comes off this afternoon and the final clean up, touch up and detail should start tomorrow. We're still on track for a Monday splash and a Thursday premier at the Newport Beach Boat Show at the Stan Miller Yachts display. I'll post more pictures once we get all the protective coverings off the boat and get her cleaned up.
Looks incredible! Good luck
Awesome! Wish I could make it to the show.
We'll be at the Pacific Coast Sportfishing Show as well as the BD Yellowtail Shootout. There should be plenty of chances to see the boat this summer.
Sweet, I'll be able to make at least one then. Probably the shootout. You're going to get a lot of attention showing up with that thing!
Hope it floats!
See you at the NB show.
Today is the big day. I'll have a full picture update up late today. It's been a marathon this past week but she's ready and looks amazing! Stay tuned...
Can't wait B!!!!!
Can't wait to see the update
Hope all went well with the maiden voyage
Congrats Barrett and the whole Mag Bay team! Cant wait to go for a hot lap!!! see you at the Boat Show!
Can't wait to see the numbers and ride on this thing. Congratulations on finishing!
Ok boys, sorry for the wait. Its been one hell of a last few days with the launch of the boat and its first real voyage this morning. Before all the pictures, none of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of our employees. We are so fortunate to have such amazing guys behind us; without them this dream would have never become a reality. They truly are the heart and soul of our company.
We finally brought the boat down Monday afternoon. The boat was set in the water at Basin Marine around 3:30. Initially I was worried how it was going to sit but what a relief it was when side to side I was off less than 1/4". The boat sits absolutely perfect in the water.
This morning was the maiden voyage. I took the boat out myself with full fuel and no water aboard. Conditions weren't ideal with 10 to 15 knots of wind and a decent chop. I am way over propped but once it was on plane this thing is an absolute rocket! 3400 RPM was 28 knots. To be honest, I was so stoked on getting it running I wasn't even paying that much attention to RPM's and speed. With the chop and wind, I didn't get a single damn drop of water on the boat. On the way in I hit it..... 50 knots with room to go before I had to pull the pins back. This boat loves speed; the faster it goes the better it rides. Its unfreakingbelievable!
Come see the boat this weekend at the Newport Beach Boat Show. I'll have the boat at the Stan Miller Yachts booth and I'll be there all show to answer questions and show off the boat. Hope to see a lot of you guys at the show!
Now for some photos...
