Those of you that are on Intrepid Catchy Tackle 15 day trip leaving this Sat. Oct. 14.... I just got a memo from Fred the charter master that we are leaving at 9AM if everyone shows up early. Steve will open the office so we can get checked in at 7AM. I know a lot of people on this trip are not on Bloody Decks so if you can spread the word that would be great. I will see some of you for dinner Friday night...the rest I will see for check in at 7AM. Don't forget your passports.

For those of us that are driving down early arriving around 6am Saturday morning, what can we expect to fine when we get to the landing.
Is the parking lot going to be like impossible, to find a parking spot.???

David I don't know how bad it will be but the day boats come and go around that time. Also I parked at the Ramada one time. It was $10.00 day... that was 5 years ago. Also the overflow lot down the street... just ask the red shirts where its located. I think you will be able to get a spot in the main lot.

    "Hurricane Bank
    10-18-2017

    Bill Cavanaugh

    Hi Gang,

We arrived at the Bank just before 1000 this morning. After picking up just one wahoo on the troll, we located an area of scattered tuna just off the edge of the Bank. As we started a chum line, tuna started blowing out in the chum almost right away and put on an impressive show. Once the anchor was down, it didn't take long to hook our first fish. From this point on we were busy with 1 to 3 fish hooked for most of the day. This fish was mostly 120 to 200 pounds and the majority of our bites came on the flylined sardine. 100 or 130 lb. fluorocarbon, a 5/0 ringed circle hook, and a lively bait was the method of choice. Late in the afternoon our current died and so did our action. It felt as though this place will be best in the morning and, even though we had a good day, it had the distinct feel as though we got here just as things were beginning to slow down. We are looking forward to what tomorrow brings. Our chefs out did themselves again tonight and wowed us all with a wedge salad, sliced tri tip and lobster mac and cheese dinner. The weather today was perfect with calm seas and just enough wind to fly the kites. We have high hopes for tomorrow. Wish us luck, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team"

    Let the games begin!

Great fishing with you Brian. Looking forward to next year. I'll definitely be on the lookout for that red and black Maurader. That thing was hot.

    Brian,

Just curious why you are trying to stuff those fish into cans. It is obvious they are not going to fit. The crew must have been playing a joke on you. :-)

Glad to see you had a good trip and no weather issues.
