Mine going up just over 10% never made a claim. Boat US rep tell me because of others making claims in my area. WTF how is that my problem? Paying for other peoples fuck up's.

Any one else going through this with other companies.

Probably gearing up to discount that 10% back as an incentive to make you get your CA boaters card early.

Looks like Boat US is using Geico for underwriting.

I got off of boat us when they wouldn't cover me far enough into MX. Check out 5th street Insurance. Best move I made. Give me a call and I'll give you the info for them.

Interesting. I have Geico boat insurance. Forgot the name of the company before Geico bought them out. Mine has stayed the same since I had them and it has the vanishing deductible.

So after a little more research because the Boat US agents had no idea what they were talking about my policy now includes $5,000 of fishing equipment (rods/reels, etc. for loss or theft which was an additional $30 for the year. Also have the vanishing deductible.

Current coverage covers down to punta banda and for a $100 more per year it can extend to the rest of Mexico.

Boats under a certain size can be insured by AAA. I believe it is under 30 ft. I pay $74 a year for my way overpowered whaler with yamaha f350...

Really? Regardless of their reason, you MUST have changed to a new company right?

Do you have all your insurance with them? They were more expensive for us and would not add in all the electronics upgrades to boat worth.

I got a policy direct with Geico, thru a broker, that was less than BoatUS for less coverage. Papa J, text me if you want the details. But it is a 1M policy.

You all need to check out twin rivers marine insurance. Always get a valuable boat insured with a marine specific company and underwriter. I'm insured to a stated value up to 100nm offshore.

You might try getting insurance through an insurance agency not a grocery store.
