Installing a 45 Gallon Bait Tank

    Is the pump below waterline? If not and you have trouble loosing prime, tilt the pump so water stays in it and you won't loose prime. Otherwise, I have that tank and love it. ENJOY

    I would recommend you put a strainer in line for the kelp. Before you start the pump make sure you clean out the kelp Now!

    I bet he has already run his pump since he posted this more than 4 years ago. But who knows maybe he was waiting for this final bit of advice before turning it on...

    Anyone seen a Y pipe fitting tha also has a small port like a Venturi? I broke the Venturi part off and plugged it.

    It is on my Bait well. It has one inlet that came from the pump, and two outlets that go to the jets in the tank. The venturi was plumbed out the back to suck in air and has a tiny valve where I could adjust the air flow.. the tank is part of my 2008 trophy 2502.

    It still works but now the aerator function is disconnected, before I had zero die off from a scoop, now there are a few each trip.

    Totally true. I only watch clients cracker them off and fillet them when people do miraculously get them in the boat.

    I fish all year long! Then there is hunting season lobsters season rock cod season! So many seasons! Oh yeah skiing season too!
