anyone notice that "Inside Sportfishing" is no longer on Spectrum/Time Warner cable? What happened?
Doesn't seem to be on U-Verse either
I really liked the show but always managed to always catch the same 3 episodes.
Wasn't that show just a Shimano commercial with a few minutes of fishing thrown in ?
Got replaced by Local Knowledge.
It had a lot of nice long range stuff
It's gone on FSW, replaced by another episode of Anger Chronicles on Sunday morning.
I think it is shown somewhat seasonal. I think the producers are working on other media as well.
It shows up on WFN often.Tom
Looks like all they're doing now is selling copies of past episodes.
It was a great show while it lasted. They made Tommy Rothery on the Polaris Supreme a long range star back in the day.
A class act..
Met Clete and mike on the first ever skiff trip on the shogun...
They were about fishin and were two of the nicest guys I've ever met in fishing...
We spent a full day hiding behind Cedros in 50 knot winds and while everyone was hunkering down in the galley or their bunks clete and myself stood on the bow throwing plastics for several hours as the bass still wanted to chew even through the gale+ conditions...we were laughing the entire time and I will remember it forever...
I was on that show, Rocks to Ridges on the Searcher. I liked that show.
awesome show, michael and his crew were great people. it would be a shame if it no longer aired. i know that they have been working on other projects, including the "code group", which gives you updates, and personal settings for fish counts, and groups. pretty cool, but i liked watching the show, my family was really stoked when my son and i showed up on the guadalupe series last year.
For those shows YOU buy the time slot and YOU sell the ad spots to pay for it.
Used to record the shows and had quite the archive of multiple episodes. On VCR tapes. Oh, boy, that was a while back. Always looked forward to seeing Michael and his beautiful wife Kim at the Fred Hall show in L.B. Used to joke with Clete, "Mr 40 lb" He was with the USPS, think he's retired. He talked about relocating to Bishop or Mammoth, take a transfer, never did.
not 100% sure but I thought I read they will be on the Code Group.
Wonder how to find old archives. My Grandfather told me he saw me on there a couple times years ago when I deck handed for Todd Mansur on the Sum Fun. If memory recalls one trip was some type of Shimano tournament involving multiple landings and another was disabled children we fished barracuda with. Bet I was almost skinny back then lol
Check out YouTube...
Did Che from stoked on fishing spin off from them or did he start stoked on his own? For some reason I remember Che taking over certain episodes like an albacore trip on the voyager (or some seaforth boat). While Che Mac-a-guy can be pretty kooky, his show puts out good stuff and he puts all his episodes out for free online. Has a lot of really good long range shows and 3-5 day trip shows
You can view shows on the world fishing network.WFN
