My buddies and I used to drag his 14' aluminum boat down to the mangrove area out of San Carlos way back in the 80s. We never saw another gringo there, ever. Amayzing fishing back in those estuarys, especially for the Cabrilla,Snook and Halibut. Also the mouth just outside of Tosca is crazy wide open Striped Marlin grounds.

We took the inland route through Mag bay coming back from Cabo one year.
Aside from the constant slalom around trap buoys, it was an amazing ride.
Watching for buoys from the crow's nest, I couldn't help but think about spending a month exploring all fishing possibilities in that bay.
