I received a surprise today that has left me at a loss for words and truly thankful for some good friends.

Randy Penny from United Composites and Garry O'Hern (Atuna on here) went out of their way and blew my mind with this act of incredible kindness. UC 76 Centaur wrapped by Jim Trelikes Webspinner custom rods.

I recently had to put my Bull Terrier "Lizzie" down. Great dog tough decision. Randy, Garry and Jim gave me this tribute rod that is both functional and beautiful. Its going to be a blast looking down the rod and seeing her picture.

Rarely at a loss for words both in written form and verbally.

Always a first time for everything I guess.

It's the friends, more than the rod, and the rod is such a thoughtful blend. Love is a wonderful thing. It makes us all glad that you can cherish the rod and memories and friends.

Beautiful rod!! My condolences on your loss.

My wife and I have had numerous pets (cats, dogs, aquatic turtles, birds, guppies, feeder goldfish that were too smart for the turtles, etc), and each time we lose one, it sucks. May your new rod help create new memories for you and 'Lizzie'.

Could never, EVER happen to a nicer guy. I'm sorry to hear about Lizzie, John. I hope the good memories take precedence in your mind soon.

Not in any way surprised to hear about the generosity of your friends. Those of us who know you also know that you would (and typically DO) do as much or more for your friends.
