We launched out of Dana Landing around 5:45 - got bait and made some macs out by the jetty. Decided to head to LJ in hopes of getting a few YT's....wasn't happening so we headed off at a 240 heading for about 18 miles...water was an off-color greenish at 71 degrees. We found about 40 kelp paddies with nothing but a few baits under them - kept heading south and turned east about 8 miles shy of the corner. Wind was up at this time and was unpleasant quartering into the swell/wind at 16 kts. We found several more paddies close to the outside 9 and managed a decent dodo - water was a lot cleaner at the 9. Boat ran stellar as usual - we covered 72 miles and burned 20 gallons. We found a few trash items and brought them back. Who the hell tosses a full bag of crap in the ocean anyway?
