12 gauge loaded with slugs, easiest way to pull a carp out of the creek behind the house. Or bass fishing with a chartruce storm swim shad.

back in the early 80tys, when I had a hard time finding
Construction work, and I struggled just to pay my rent
I would go down to Crystal Cove , with a Bag of Frozen
Pea's, and we would use the Mussels too for
bait, and we would catch enough
Sheep head and Calico's and Opal Eye's
for me for dinner for most of the week , with a couple Bag of Tater Tot's
and a Few Cans of Green Beans, I Eat like
    a King.

If I had to catch a meal I might be more tempted to grab a goose at the park than wet a line. The white ones are delicious (or so I hear).

Best bet for me would be Bodega Bay or Tomales Bay for surfperch. Too early in the year to target leopards. There's a bunch of nearby spots I could try for RF from shore, but the perch would be my safest bet.
