The ICAST show is coming up fast.
What would your "wish list" be for me to bring up in Product Development meetings?
Both rods and reels, but mostly reels.

STILL…A Baha Special Mini! I want a smaller US Senator. Not a Fathom. Not a Squall. Not a Torque. A beautiful US Senator only a little smaller. I keep buying all these old Daiwa Sealines 27H, 47H, 30H, 50H, 300H, 350H etc… I would rather buy some pretty new Penn reels.

Also, a smaller International VISX. I had to buy a Makaira 10 (2 actually) because my VISX12 is just a little too big and my Torque 25NLD2 is just a little too light.

Your new rods are pretty dope though.

A taller and narrow torque lever drag. Similar to the Fathom 60. I believe the current Torque 60 is a wider version of the 40. Or a smaller VISX, somtheing a little smaller and square then the 12 that I have already 😂😂😂

A high end large baitcaster for light offshore? A torque baitcaster???😂😂😂

A "500 size" Fathom low profile.
    A VISX 10 size reel.

Steve, what do you personally see a need for in the San Diego nearshore/offshore scene?

No doubt in the BDO informal polls here, the FTH 500LP is winning, so I plan to push that as hard as I can.
My personal view is that specialized "jigging" reels are the wave of the future, and the Torque series would actually be considered "middle" priced as they go.
Something that nobody has mentioned, all of the current PENN "West Coast Rail Rods" are 7 feet long.
Assuming that you can't have "both", are the current 7-0 models "just right" or would 7-6 models be favored?
[I have already asked several LR captains, but won't influence the answers here by telling.]

There are several reasons why the Penn Fathoms have been popularly paired with Okuma PCH Custom Rail Rod instead….

Funny, the technology for high-end 2-speed spinning reels exists, but AFAIK, none of the major reel companies have used it.
    It is VERY expensive.
A few years ago, a smaller European company [I think it was FOX] had a nice display of medium to extra-large 2-speed spinning reels at the ICAST Show.
    Retail prices were $1,200-$1,600.
Apparently there was very little interest at the time, possibly that has changed now.
