My complaint is that a new generation should always have the same power and perks of the old generation and only improvements.
When the improvements that made the first generation so great need to be sacrificed that’s when you need to go back to the drawing board.
In this case Penn expanded out the entire line and sacrificed some mechanical durability. It’s frustrating as someone who thinks a $350 reel is all they need to fish 60lb and below.
We are probably going to see Torque versions of these new Fathom LD2.. that’s going to be cool.
With that in mind… Penn please improve on the current gimmicks on the cheaper line of reels. They are not issues we should on any premium reel.
