I want a "complete" primer to fishing out of Santa Barbara, please

Surf fishing is very good up there as well as the fishing off Golita pier - For those days when you only have a couple of hours

How's that fir a 3/4 day rockfishing trip. More than likely out at the islands. Channel islands. Around Cruz or Santa Rosa I'm betting. Channel islands is some excellent fishing.. I fish there most.. ive caught halibut year round. Plenty rockfish and sheep heads during season no issues. This is a well known charter. If it's on a weekend. Hit me up. I git a decent lil sled. Nottin fancy but it's a fishing machine. Sanya Barbara or just tad east into ventura you git some great cattle boats. I'm going by watching and falling there Instagram posts and fish counts. I haven't fished a charter since 12. Only my own or buddies boats. Last 15 yrs. I'm just still learning but I know the islands pretty gd.

No question, the AS, along with the Greylight (6-pac) and the Mirage are pretty much the most consistent performers on the ghosts. All out of CISCO. Guessing 'capa or Cruz on those fish. Good stuff!

Santo Mezcal has killer food. also grab seafood on the pier. Fishing go out of Ciscos or Ventura.
