Then how about a "Make-A-Fence" Tuna tournament....loser builds the fence :)

It's a win for everyone. Scott gets to stay disconnected from his in-laws and......whu...what's that you said.....everyone???....ok everyone except Fat Willie :D

If Carl was available, I'd let him dig the holes and I'd do the gravy work. I do plenty for my Wife's lovely family, I just don't have the time for a fence and fishing a couple of times a week... :D

Should you use a sealant like Thompson's Water Seal on new redwood fence?

On a serious note... I used to use Golden State Fence. I know they changed their name (imagine that) look it up, but to have the tear out, reset, and stain, in two days, is a wonderful thing. And not that expensive.

So what is the going price for remove/install a redwood fence these days? Last time I paid for one it was around $12.00/lineal foot... It has to be at least around $20.00/foot now I would imagine......

My friend in Baja swears by motor oil finish on wood. Cheap, lasts forever, keeps bugs out... I hope he never has a fire though... :D

This is a new fence, no tear down and I will use an oil based finish like I just used on my fence at home, the water based products don't absorb into the wood as well and don't last... Thompsons is for rookies... :D
